Sierra La Verne Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in the foothills of the majestic San Gabriel Mountains in La Verne, California.
The Sierra La Verne Country Club golf course opened for play in 1974. The course was designed by Dan Murray.
The Sierra La Verne Golf Course provides outstanding views of the countryside. The greens are in great condition. The course has many oak and pine trees lining its fairways. The signature hole is #15, a 195-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to a well-bunkered green.
The Sierra La Verne Golf Course measures 6,322 yards from the tips and plays to a par of 71. The course rating is 70.9 with a slope rating of 128.

This is a private club; best time to play is first thing in the morning with your member friend. Later in the day members who play from the back tees slow the play down. Diabolical greens. Makes me want to keep coming back to conquer it. Most difficult rated course for women I've played.
$66 (cart included), played on Saturday, March 2011 at noon
Most difficult greens I have putted on. Very quick with lots of back to front slope. I putted from uphill passed the hole and the ball stopped and came back towards me into the cup. If it had not hit the cup on the way back, it would have been back to my feet. A challenge on several greens to say the least.

Nice course. Front nine is pretty municipal, back nine is an interesting canyon layout. Good facilities. Medium condition.

I have been privileged to begin playing Sierra La Verne with the La Verne Sr. Golf League. This is a private course and our group has been welcomed to play our twice monthly golf dates at this course. We are grateful to the management of the course for allowing non-members to enjoy playing this fine course.
